Expedition Discovery was born by combining my love for Africa and its people, with my passion for protecting and improving the lives of others. It is an inspiring journey for anyone who is looking for answers about himself, about his future path ahead and about life in general; all set in a most magnificent region of this world.I have developed and delivered numerous Life Skills workshops and have always mentored people from different backgrounds. I have also been working as a close protection specialist to people who required protection because of their wealth, their circumstances, their position or their travel destination. My clients were private individuals, families, corporate clients and government officials.
Having spent two memorable years in Nairobi as security advisor for the Federal Government of Switzerland, I had the strong desire to develop a project in East Africa. This lead to the establishment of Whitecross Solutions Ltd., a risk management and travel safety company, based in Nairobi, Kenya. Expedition Discovery is a project under its flag.
My passion and knowledge of the African continent and its people has given me the impulse to start Expedition Discovery with a group of likeminded individuals, some of whom have gone through the a journey of discovery themselves.
In Gstaad Switzerland, where I call home when I am not travelling around the world, I operate Excel Security Solutions AG; a security and risk management company that provides bespoke security services worldwide.
Among other qualifications, I hold the CPP certification of ASIS, a degree in protective security management from the University of Buckinghamshire (UK), a certificate in terrorism studies from the University of St Andrews(UK) and a certificate in Security Management from the University of Leicester (UK).
